Printing, Saving, and Copying

After locating and retrieving your information, Britannica CD lets you print pages, save pages to files, and copy selected text to your computer's clipboard.

Printing Pages

Before attempting to print, make sure that you have specified a printer through the Control Panel in Microsoft Windows. Your computer must also be connected to a printer, either directly or through a known network. If you need help setting up your printer, refer to your printer documentation and your Microsoft Windows User Manual.

To print the current page:

The default setting prints the entire document, even the portion you would have to scroll to see on the screen.

Saving Pages

Netscape gives you the opportunity to save a Britannica CD page as a file on your computer. You can do this either before or after you bring the page to your screen.

To display a file that has been saved to disk, choose File, Open File and select HTML or text. An HTML file appears in its proper format; a text file will appear as simple typewritten text.
