Automated analysis of micronuclei in human lymphocytes
22 de enero de 2008
Dear EEMS members,
I would like to draw your attention to a Workshop on “Automated analysis of micronuclei in human lymphocytes” organized by the ECNIS Network of Excellence in Bruxelles on 13-14 March 2008.
The aim of this workshop is to provide theoretical background knowledge on the mechanisms of micronucleus formation/elimination, the sensitivity/specificity of the micronucleus test, the influence of possible confounders on micronucleus frequency, the ethycal implications for cancer prevention at group/individual level and the implementation of automated methods for micronucleus detection. The workshop will also offer (on limited basis) the possibility of studying the practical aspects of automated micronucleus analysis.
The workshop is open to a maximum of 30 participants, both ECNIS and non-ECNIS members. Registration is free of charge. The deadline for application is 10th February 2008. Applications should be sent by e-mail to Raluca Mateuca.
You can find more information and a detailed scientific programme in the attached document.
Kind regards,
Francesca Pacchierotti
EEMS Secretary
