GENERAL INFORMATION

As a Participant you will share in the costs of the field and research expenses as well as the overall costs of planning and implementation. During the dates of your expedition:

 

Your contribution will include:
 
Meals and shared lodging
Ground transportation
Field gear
Research equipment and supplies
Information on field techniques, recommended reading, project area and conditions and a list of things to bring.

 

 

Your contribution does NOT include:
Air fare or travel costs to the assembly point
Visa, passports, inoculations
Medical treatment or emergency evacuation expenses
Alcoholic beverages and other personal expenses

 

Some of these details will vary from expedition to expedition, but we will let you know of any changes well before you leave.

Special Information for Teachers and Students:

Teachers
One of ours goals is to improve the quality of science education for today's students, our next generation of scientists, voters, policy makers and environmentalists.

A limited number of scholarships are available for participation in the Mas D'Is Field School of Archaeology. Teachers of grades K-12 who teach at least one course in Humanities will be given priority in selection. Contact us for a supplemental scholarship application. Teacher scholarship application deadline is March 30, 2003. Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a space available basis.

Students

 

We offer a limited number of partial scholarships to students participating in our expeditions. Contact us for the special student scholarship application form. Student application deadline for scholarships is March 30, 2003. Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a space available basis.
