The Akron Law Review is a student organization of the University of Akron
School of Law. Its board of student editors publish four printed issues
per year. The Law Review was established in 1967 when the law school instituted
a full time program of classes in addition to the existing part-time evening
program. Those first few student editors who pioneered the Review were
dedicated to the ideals of frank open discussion of legal issues. In the
words of Dean Stanley A. Samad, the Law Review was founded "to provide
a medium through which legal scholars, and scholars in related fields,
can make their research available to the courts, the bar, students of the
law and the public." Now, almost thirty years later, the present student
editors have renewed this commitment to public access to legal materials,
and establish this website to further facilitate legal discourse and education.

ISSN 0003-1453 The American University Law Review is both the oldest and
the largest journal at the Washington College of Law at the American University.
For more than forty-five years, The Law Review has made valuable contributions
to both the law school and the larger legal community. Each year, The Law
Review's approximately one hundred student team publishes six books that
are distributed nationwide and abroad to law school libraries, private
law firms, and individual subscribers. The Law Review is also available
on both Westlaw® and Lexis®. The range of Articles The Law Review
publishes are not limited to one particular area of law. In recent years,
Articles in The Law Review have addressed a broad range of topics, including
health care issues, environmental law, land rights in Israel, voting rights

Also, The Law Review is the only journal in the nation to publish annually
an issue dedicated to decisions of the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals
regarding patent law, international trade, government contracts, and Native
American law. The Law Review is particularly proud of sponsoring symposia
and other special projects. Some of The Law Review's most recent projects
have concerned a symposium on the future of electronic cash, a conference
on the death penalty, and the Rehnquist Court's jurisprudence on race.
The Law Review receives dozens of articles per week from outside authors
including judges, professors, And practitioners, and also considers its
members' papers for publication. Student-written Notes and Comments discussing
cutting-edge legal issues are published in each issue. This online version
of The Law Review debuted with Issue 1 of Volume 45. As the global community
moves into the 21st century, so too does The Law Review. To this end, we
publish concurrently both in traditional paper form and on the World Wide
Web.

by the Arkansas Law Review and Bar Association Journal, Inc., and the School

The Washburn Law Journal is a scholarly publication edited entirely by
Washburn University law students. Under the leadership of the Editor-in-Chief,
in consultation with a faculty advisory committee, the Senior Board of
Editors publishes three issues each year. Students are invited to become
members of the Washburn Law Journal on the basis of performance in a writing
competition and class rank after each of their first three semesters of
law school. During the junior year, the student is responsible for researching
and writing a case comment. During the senior year, each student, except
members of the Senior Board of Editors, writes a more extensive note on
a legal topic of the student's choice. To complete membership on the Journal
staff, all students must complete a case comment and a note of publishable
quality. Members also assist the Senior Board of Editors in the many editorial
tasks necessary to the publication of the Journal, including associate
editing. Each student may elect to take one to four credit hours and each
member of the Senior Board of Editors may elect to take an additional two
credit hours by writing a note. In the spring, second year staff members
are invited to apply for positions on the Senior Board of Editors. These
positions allow the member to exert an active influence on the quality
of the Journal and to gain even more from the law journal experience. Membership
on the Senior Board of Editors provides the student with invaluable experience
in legal analysis and writing and is recognized by the profession as one
of the highest accomplishments available to a law student.

.The Electronic Journal of Comparative Law (EJCL) is a new quarterly, refereed,
all-electronic journal published on the World Wide Web (WWW). The EJCL

of comparative law. As to the methodological aspects of comparative law,
articles relating to any area (e.g. private law, public law, European law,
international law) will be published. Articles discussing more substantive
comparative private law topics will discuss and compare at least two legal

Minnesota's Journal of Law & Politics. Minnesota's Journal of Law &
Politics (ISSN 1078-8158) is published twelve times a year by BRJG Publishing
Corp.. Subscriber rate is $29 per year. Single copies $2.95. Articles focus
on legal and political issues, and also on the effects of new technologies
and developments on these areas. Additional materials provided include
a letters to the editor section, a forum for discussion of issues brought
up in the magazine, a net tools section providing links to sites for searching
and downloading browsers, and archived past issues dating back as far as
