CIDEC provides specialized information and advice to researchers, teachers, professionals of the sector, students and other people interested in the field of the Social Economy, especially on agricultural cooperatives, associated work cooperatives, labour societies, voluntary and non-profit organizations, foundations and the associative movement, as well as employment topics, social services, public policies and rural tourism.

CIDEC News

One of the most prominent activities carried out by CIDEC is the publication of the four-monthly journal entitled Noticias de la Economía Pública, Social y Cooperativa (Public, Social and Cooperative Economy News), more popularly known as «CIDEC News», which was first published in June 1991.

Founded with the objective of creating permanent and periodic communication between professionals in the sector of Social Economy and the university academic world and broadly speaking among all those interested in this field, the publication has become established over time and enjoys certain recognition within the sector.

We must acknowledge the fact that without the involvement of a large number of people that due to space limitations cannot all be named, the magazine could not be published. The interest and financial support systematically provided by the Generalitat Valenciana (Valencian Regional Government) through its department with competences in the area of Cooperatives and Social Economy is also vital.
