The exhibition The sphere of water introduces

chemical properties to its role in history and
civilisation. Produced by the Higher Council of
Scientific Research and Aqualogy within the framework of
the International Year of Water Cooperation 2013, the
exhibition will be held at one of the rooms of Palau de
Cerveró, of the University of Valencia. Consisting of 20
panels, the exhibition is divided into two large blocks.
The first one –Water and Nature– follows the course of
the water cycle, including its relationship with the
climate and the ecosystems. In the second one –Water and
Society – the exhibition delves into the influence of
human beings on the natural cycle of water, its
pollution and the solutions for accessing drinking
water, including the links of water with history, health
and technology.
All the contents have been prepared by researchers who
seek answers and solutions in the sphere of water:
Antoni Ginebreda (scientific curator), Joan Grimalt,
Francesc Gallart, Jesús Carrera, Damiŕ Barceló and
Rafael Rodríguez Clemente, all of them from the
Institute for Environmental Diagnoses and Water Studies,
of the Council; and Luis Calvo, from the Institució Milŕ
i Fontanals. He is the Higher Council’s institutional
coordinator in Catalonia.
