But our University is more than that; it is culture, participation, solidarity, sports, libraries, publications,etc. Above all, University life is based on a strong focus on continuous education and an interest in knowledge that defines our identity. Apart from strictly academic matters, our University offers a set of activities to society, as its scientific and cultural activity was meant to go back to it. Our purpose is to share this universe with those who study and work in this longstanding organisation and for those willing to know it better. This website includes the list of official degrees (diploma studies, undergraduate studies, engineering degrees, masters and doctorate programmes) and a list of Universitat de Valčncia degrees, and offers comprehensive information on services, libraries, and the facilities of the three campuses –Burjassot-Paterna, Tarongers and Blasco Ibáńez– and other premises like the Ausiŕs March Teaching School, the Ontinyent university extension, the historic building of "La Nau" (in downtown Valčncia) or the emblematic Botanic Garden. Today, we cannot forget the fact we are undergoing the changes caused by the European Convergence process and the European Higher Education Area. Such changes already begin with the second and third university cycles (official masters and doctorates), and now continue with the new 2009-2010 EHEA Bachelor's degrees in a joint process with the other Valencian universities. We continue working to remain leaders in the higher education scene. The University of Valencia is an institution with quite a considerable size and the greatest degree offer in the Valencian region. Our University has more than 55,000 students, 3,400 lecturers and 2,700 administration and service employees. The number of centres, departments, research institutes and services is also high. They all contribute to making teaching, research and academic management possible.
