The Contemporary Thought ProfessorshipPromoted by the Foundation Cañada Blanch and Universitat de València, this professorship is held every year by different researchers who articulate a number of activities around contemporary thought. Therefore, this post organises a course on topics related to today's world and programmes different seminars and lectures by outstanding researchers and professionals from the world of contemporary thought. Finally, the elected professor coordinates the edition of all the papers produced by the professorship. CONTEMPORARY THOUGHT PROFESSORSHIP
The Three Religions ProfessorshipThis professorship is devoted to researching, teaching, and disseminating the social and cultural role of the three Mediterranean monotheist religions: Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. The implementation of this professorship comes as a result of an agreement signed by Universitat de València and the Federation of Israeli Communities in Spain, the Association of Islamic Communities of Spain, and the Ecumenical Centre Pare Congar. The Entrepreneurship ProfessorshipBy means of a collaborative agreement, Universitat de València and the University-Business Foundation set up the UV Entrepreneurship Professorship, its objective being the promotion and dissemination of education and entrepreneurship among university students, for them to develop entrepreneurial skills and gain the necessary knowledge to join the world of business, one of the most representative sectors of our society. The Entrepreneurship Professorship is run by a trust encompassing lecturers and prestigious entrepreneurs. Their contribution evidences the interest of our socioeconomic environment in counting on graduates with an entrepreneurial culture in line with the development of a society in which they will play a professional role. The UNESCO and Mediterranean ProfessorshipsBoth professorships are managed and coordinated by the South-North Trust. Through yearly calls, the department and university institutes of Universitat de València put up their lecturer and expert candidates from other countries to implement the training and complementary activity programme with visiting professors for two to six month periods. The Science Dissemination ProfessorshipThe result of collaboration between the Cañada Blanch Foundation and Universitat de València, it fosters educational and researching activities as well as the dissemination of scientific knowledge among citizens. The professorship organises courses, exhibitions, lectures, and debates, and promotes the European Award for Scientific Dissemination Estudi General. SCIENCE DISSEMINATION PROFESSORSHIP
The Alfons Cucó ProfessorshipThis professorship for European political reflection was set up in October 2002 within Gandia`s Summer University with a view to paying tribute to the distinguished professor from Universitat de València Alfons Cucó. Air Nostrum Service Quality ProfessorshipCreated by Universitat de València and the airline Air Nostrum, this professorship aims to organise teaching and researching activities in order to study service quality. Demetri Ribes ProfessorshipThis initiative is promoted by the Transport Department of the regional government and Universitat. Their mission is to design the Valencian Transport Museum and organise training and dissemination activities about transport, civil works, and regional planning in the Valencian Country.
