Reporting to the Department of Research and Third Cycle and the Research
Commission, the Research Service is a unit that supports the latter
institutions in their management. It plays different roles in the fields
of information, dissemination, management, follow up, and justification
of actions taken in the research area.
Training and mobility of researchers
- Dissemination, management, and follow up of the calls of the programme
of the Research Department relative to this management area.
- Dissemination, management, and follow up of grant schemes for research
and collaboration and work contracts resulting from research projects
and agreements.
- Dissemination, management, and follow up of the calls of the
National R+D Plan, sector programmes, and the Valencian Plan for
Science and Technology in the field of mobility, training, and
staff development of researchers, readmission contracts, and the
current programme “Ramón
y Cajal”.
- Reception and guidance of foreign researchers, providing adequate
information and management for them to obtain suitable permits from
the Government delegation.
Projects, infrastructures, and other research actions
- Dissemination, management, and follow up of the calls of the programme
of the Research Department relative to this management area.
- Organisation of scientific and technological conferences and meetings.
- Purchase of scientific equipment.
- Purchase of scientific equipment for newly appointed lecturers.
- Subsidies for the maintenance of scientific instruments.
- Pre-competitive research projects.
- Grants for the preparation of European projects.
- Dissemination, management, and follow up of calls for the R+D National
Plan, sector programmes, and the Valencian Plan of Science and Technology,
for the development of research projects, the purchase of scientific
infrastructure, and the organisation of scientific meetings.
- Other actions complementing the research of departments and institutes.
- Research reports.
- Management and maintenance of the scientific instrument inventory.

It also provides the Research Commission with technical and administrative
support and acts as the link between the different funding organisations
and the researchers and remaining university community applicants.
