If you would like to apply for WOP-P Programme and Erasmus Mundus Grants as a SCHOLAR, please read carefully the following information.
Who is an scholar?
A scholar is a person with outstanding academic and/or professional experience who lectures or conducts research in a higher education institution or a research organization established in acoordance with national legislation and practice.
In order to participate as scholar in WOP Master with an Erasmus Mundus grant, this person must be enrolled in an institution located in any country of the World OTHER THAN in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria , Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom. The scholars selected to contribute to WOP programme can only participate in the European partner universities (University of Barcelona, University of Bologna, University of Coimbra, University of Paris, University of Valencia)
However, it is possible also for scholars enrolled in an institution of the WOP Consortium to be granted with an Erasmus Mundus grant. The selected scholars to contribute to WOP programme can only participate in the Non-European partner institutions (University of Brasilia in Brazil and University of Guelph in Canada)

Application and selection procedure
APPLICATION
Scholars have to apply on-line in order to be accepted by the WOP-P Consortium. Scholars can apply to the WOP-P Master's Programme on their own initiative or can be invited by the teaching and coordinating staff of WOP-P Consortium to apply. Scholars apply to carry out teaching and research assignments and scholarly work in the institutions participating in WOP Programme.
The application form is an on-line application where the scholar applicants should introduce all required data and also send the required documents. Applying is very easy. Follow the 3 steps below!!
Step 1: Make sure that you have the following documents* ready before introducing your data in the on-line application because you will have to upload them at the end of it. Also, make sure that you prepare only one file for each of the following documents and THAT THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FILES IS NOT BIGGER THAN 64 Mb!!
- an extensive CV, stating publication records, research activities, etc (please in English)
- your passport or any other identification document of your own country
- a motivation letter
- the Scholars Commitment
- a simple photocopy of your academic degrees or professional diplomas, and your previous teaching experience in the field (seminars, intensive courses, etc)
- language certificates, if available. If you have no official language certificates, please upload a document (.doc or .txt) explaining how you have learnt the language(s).
- any other document you would like to provide
* The documents should be all in English. Other languages as French, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish will be also accepted. Documents in other languages should be translated in English.

You have three ways to access the online application but most probably you will have to choose the option of creating a user and password. Please, keep this user and password in a safe place because they will let you enter in the online application as many times as you need. You will be able to follow the whole process of selection by using this user and password, even RESULTS OF SELECTION!!
Step 3: If you find any technical problem during the application process, please send an e-mail to erasmuswop@uv.es and explain your problem with details. We will try to solve it and give you some feedback as soon as possible.
SELECTION
The selection of grantees is a competitive process based on the academic performance and credentials of the candidates, in order to guarantee the selection of high-quality scholars. The following criteria will be considered: CV, teaching and research experience in the field of WOP and knowledge of English.
The Coordinating Committee of the WOP-P Consortium will propose the selected scholars for the Erasmus Mundus grants.
The consortium will inform scholars about the selection results by the 30th November 2012 either by e-mail or by disclosing the results in this web site.
The universities where the selected scholars will participate will be decided by the WOP Coordinating Committee. The decission will be based on the scholars' research/professional specialization; the scholars' preferences; the need to obtain a balanced distribution among partner institutions; and the scholars' fluency in the languages used in WOP programme (French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish)

Deadline for applications
Application deadline for scholars applicants for next academic year 2012-2013 is 30th September 2012 at 24 hours UTC/CUT +1 time.
Electronic documents will be uploaded at the end of the on-line application process. Scholars should not send any document regarding the application by e-mail, fax or postal mail.
Applications and documents sent by e-mail, fax or postal mail will not be accepted. Application must be done on-line by clicking on this link.
