Who is a European student.
The distinction between 'European Students' and 'Third Country
Students' is made in accordance with the criteria of the European
Union. Third Country Students are:
"Nationals
coming from all countries other than the 25 EU Member States,
the EEA-EFTA states (Island, Liechtenstein and Norway) and
the candidate countries for accession to the EU (presently
Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey), who are not residents of any
of the above countries, and who have not carried out their
main activities (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total
of 12 months over the last five years in any of the above countries."
The term "third-country" does not have anything
to do with the term "third world".
'European Students'
are all students who are not Third Country Students.

Selection procedure
The procedures of students’ selection are oriented to
quality and fulfilment of ECTS. Because of the Master requires
a great effort, the students should be willing to dedicate
an important number of hours to different types of tasks
(e.g. reading articles, preparing reports, front-teaching).
So, the students’ selection involves a rigorous evaluation
of knowledge skills and motivational aspects. The process of
selection includes the presentation of the CV and an interview
with the candidate. During the process the candidate is invited
to present documents (e.g., references) which provide further
evidence of their preparation and qualification.
So, in every
institution the internal coordinator interviews the candidates,
and carries out the exam or tests to assess previous knowledge
and skills related to the discipline. Afterwards, he/she
establishes a ranking considering merits, and formulates a
proposal of the candidates who should be accepted in the Master
to the Coordinating Committee.
The Coordinating Committee analyses
the proposals of the coordinators of every partner institution
and decides on the candidates accepted to be enrolled in
the Master.
