News: The Second European Summer University of
Work
- The European network of UET, the European University
of Work, has continued its collaboration and
has passed the baton on to the German partner, IAT.
After successfully applying for funding by the European
Commission, IAT and the UET network are
happy to announce
The Second European Summer University of
Work, Duisburg, August 31 to September 2 2006.
- This event will focus on the structural change of
work in its many facets of activity, employment, and
societal relationship, and thus on the economic and
social challenges of New Europe. The city of Duisburg,
part of the once heavily industrialised Ruhr
District, itself the heart of the European steel industry
and a prominent logistical hub, is an ideal place
to discuss the impacts of globalisation, demographic
change, gender relations and the increasing importance
of knowledge on work.
- The European Summer University of Work is a
unique platform for committed Europeans from various
practical fields and the academic world. It is
designed to facilitate an open exchange between
cultures, perspectives, languages, issues, concepts
and ideas. We endeavour to open up for you opportunities
to widen your horizon, to develop networks
and reliable contacts and to identify new professional
approaches to the field of work.
- We kindly invite you to benefit from this great
chance for encounter. Attached is a leaflet for your
information. More details, the emerging and continuously
updated programme and the online registration
form are to be found on our website
www.esuda.de
Please forward this email and attachment to your
colleagues and collaborators – to all the people
who you think might benefit from and be able to
contribute to the event.
