VIth EDITION OF THE WINTER SCHOOL “BERNHARD WILPERT” IN THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER OF GANDIA (VALENCIA, SPAIN)

The 18th of February the VIth Winter School WOP-P will gather during two weeks more than forty students coming from twenty-one different countries (Germany, Canadá, The United States, Russia, Brazil, Filipines, Ethiopia, Italy, Rumania, Portugal, Serbia, Panamá, Slovakia, Holland, Latvia, France, Croatia, Colombia, Ucraine, Luxemburg and Spain) for two weeks.

This stay is due to the in-residence phase of the Winter School “Bernhard Wilpert” Course, which will take place at the International Center of Gandía (CIG) of the University of Valencia.

This course aims to develop professional competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) to design interventions in the field of Organization and Human Resources Psychology in an International context, and combines the global and local perspective approaches.

The Winter School is organized by the WOP-P (www.erasmusmunduswop.org) Master Erasmus Mundus provided by the consortium of five European universities (Barcelona, Bologna,Coimbra, Paris-Descartes and Valencia) and with the collaboration of two non-European partner universities (University of Brasilia and University of Guelph)

This activity is coordinated by Prof. José M. Peiró (U. of Valencia) Prof. Vincent Rogar (U. Paris Descartes) and Prof. S. Zappala (U. Bologna) and theorganising committee is composed by a group of professors from the Faculty of Psychology and the Research Institute IDOCAL of the University of Valencia (www.uv.es/idocal).

This intensive learning unit has three phases: The first one is by means of virtual team work, the second one, the face-to-face phase, which takes place during these days in Gandía, and the last one which requires the final integration will occur till the end of March.

In this VI edition, the participants are students of the consortium universities, the Non-European associated Universities and other universities such as the San Jose State University (EEUU) and the Florida Institute of Technology.
The teaching staff of the Winter School is composed by prestigious Researchers and Academics such as Prof. Robert Roe (U. Maastricht, NL and President of the European Federation of Psychology Associations), Rob Briner (University of Bath, UK), David Guest (Kings College de Londres, UK), Neil Anderson (Brunel University, UK), Dirk Steiner (University of Nice), Eric Andriessen (University of Delft) and Fred Zijsltra (University of Mastricht).
