Dress Code
Participants at the conference are expected to wear business or smart-casual attire to the conference sessions. The dress code for the formal dinner at Palacio de la Exposición is Lounge Suit (Jacket & Tie).
Food and Drink
The conference registration fee includes Welcome Drinks Reception of Thursday evening and the coffe breaks along the Conference.
Lunches of Thursday, Friday and Saturday are not provided by the organisation.
Food and drinks are not allowed to be taken into any of the University salles. Whilst small bottles of water are allowed in the sessions, participants are asked to be mindful of spillages.
For participants requiring additional refreshment, sandwiches, hot drinks and snacks are available for purchase from the Old University cafeteria. Around the University are a wide range of places to meet, eat and drink and Valencia itself has a host of food and drink options from high-end restaurants to sandwich and snack bars.
Laptops & mobile phones
Please also ensure that mobile phone and other electronic devices are switched off during sessions. The use of laptops during the conference sessions is not permitted although they may of course be used during breaks.
Event Entry
Conference badges (provided in your event pack) should be worn to all events.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside any buildings of the University of Valencia, and is strongly discouraged near building entrances and exits. Smoking is permitted in designated smoking areas.
Languages
The working languages of the Conference are English and French. Since no translation will be provided, participants should have a passive understanding of both languages and an active understanding of at least one of them.
Internet connections
The University of Valencia is a participating organisation in the Eduroam service, which allows members of participating educational establishments to gain internet access at other member sites using authentication from their home site. Participants from Eduroam member institutions will only be able to connect to the University of Valencia Eduroam service if their institution provides electronic identification. Participants must therefore ensure that their laptops/devices are correctly configured by their home institution before arriving at Valencia. ADEIT wifi service does not operate with Eduroam. A special service will be provided to all participants upon arrival.
Accessibility
Please contact the conference organisers (ensumaCONGRESOS or tel: +34 963 940 018) if you have any special requirements or queries regarding access. Induction loops are available at all premises.
