Research
I was born in 1983 in
Valencia and I studied at the Lycée Français from
pre-school to Terminale (last year previous to university)
included, and I finished with a first class distinction.
Now, I am studying my fourth year of Medicine at the
University of Valencia, and at the same time I am doing my
hospital training which is part of the academic programme. I
have been collaborating with the Physiology department at
this Faculty for two years, investigating the adaptations of
our body to physical exercise, free radical generation,
antioxidant effects... I like laboratory work, and working
in a group, trying to study in depth and answer the
questions science poses. I am interested in research because
I think it enables us to understand better how to do
physiological and pathological process work, and discover
molecular or cellular mechanisms, etc. which are useful for
taking clinical action, not only regarding serious
illnesses, but also daily problems such as those related to
physical exercise and aging, both of which have serious
consequences on the population’s health. I am familiar
with lab techniques like western blotting, PCR or
spectrophotometry. My interests are sports, above all tennis
and swimming, cinema, reading and travelling.
