Research

I attained a degree in Sport Sciences in 2002. During my time at the University of Milan I worked in different laboratories. I collaborated with the Department of Bioimágenes and Molecular Physiology (IBFM, National Council of Research (CNR), Segrate) in different research activities tutored by Prof P. Mognoni, PhD. The following year I participated with the Department of Sciences and Biomedical Technologies (I.T.B.A.) in the carried out project: “Physical frailty and loss of functional independence in old age: determinates and adaptations to physical activity”, funded by the European Community and tutored by Dr. A. Ferri, PhD.

I also participated in the development of a project regarding the variation of the heart rate and body temperature in athletes subjected to training at different times of the day, financed with FIRST funds and tutored by F. Carandente, MD.

Since then I have been living in Spain, working on my doctoral thesis under the guidance of Prof J. Viña, MD, PhD. at the Department of Physiology, University of Valencia.  My research interests are focused on physical exercise and diabetes. I was granted a scholarship by the Department of Sports Activities, Polytechnic University of Valencia, working on a European project "My Heart Virtual Trainer", funded by Philips Inc.

I have been a physical trainer of the Valencia female handball team since the 2003 season. I really like doing sports and my favourite sports are running and cycling.
