D. degrees in Physics from the University of Valencia in 1988 and 1993, respectively. He is currently Full Professor of Optics at the same University. Since 1999 has been with the “3D Imaging and Display Group”, at the Optics Department. His research interest includes focusing properties of light, point-spread-function engineering in 3D microscopy, and 3D imaging acquisition and display. He has published on these topics more than sixty technical articles in major journals. He has published over 60 conference proceedings including over 15 invited presentations.
