2. Chat session tools
A. Chat
The most innovative tool of InfoSud is
the chat service. It allows to write instantaneous messages with the
referencist. He/She could take several minutes looking up and
sending you an answer. In any case the documentalist can establish a
dialogue to require the answer and send an email with more information
to the user. So the referencist can consult printed sources and/or turn
to experts of the matter.
B. Co-browsing
The documentalist and the user can
browser together and at the same time, too.
The referencist starts a co-browser session and sends a Web page that
loads automatically on the left side of the screen. On the right side
there is the chat window "Co-browser session made by the documentalist".
3. Closing
a Chat session
There is an option "Close session". A
complete transcript of the session will appear on the screen. So the
users can save or print it.
4. Transcript Chat session
InfoSud
will send a complete copy of every chat session to users e-mail
address. In this copy the users receive text messages, URL,
commentaries, explanations and more information. from the referencist.
Alternatevely the users can check and print every chat session at every time by their own counts.
