All current research projects are within the area of Fire, Regeneration Ecology and Vegetation Dynamics in Mediterranean ecosystems.
Regeneration is a key process for the success of plant populations and understanding this process provide clear clues for ecology and evolution of the species, as well as for predicting the future of our species in a changing world.
We focus on the regeneration of Mediterranean and fire-prone ecosystems.
Specifically, on Mediterranean oak regeneration and on the regeneration traits that allow plant persistence in fire-prone ecosystems.
