Brief
instructions for the report (2 points)
Initial Step:
Presentation of the research question (September/early
October) (around 3-4 slides):
--Why is the research question important?
--Offer some brief background (and how these other researchers
dealt with that question)
--How you are going to analyze the research question.
Which are the predictions/hypotheses.
--Explain a bit how you are going to analyze the
obtained data.
(A replication of a previous published study is
perfectly ok—you may want to make some small changes, of course.)
Second Step:
Brief presentation of the
research question (December) together with the some methodological elements, the
obtained data (already analyzed) and some preliminary conclusions.
(Note: These data can be real—from other
researchers or from your group, or simulated data.)
Third Step:
Each group should prepare a brief written report in
APA format (January—the same say as the exam). Formal aspects in a report
are important—not just the content.
There is no lower/upper limit in terms of number of
words (2-3 pages for the Introduction, double-spaced, is perfectly fine).
There are numerous websites with info on APA format
(see other links in my website)
