Un projecto europeo en marcha, denominado
«Silencing RNAs: organisers and
coordinators of complexity in eukaryotic organism (SIROCCO)»,
busca 3 nuevos socios establecidos en estados
miembros o países asociados, con experiencia en los campos
siguientes::
1.BIOINFORMATICS AND COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY. The
tasks include development of computational methods for the
analysis of small RNA datasets produced by high throughput
sequencing and the construction of a bioinformatics platform
for analysis of these data. There is also the scope for the
development of computational modelling methods to allow
small RNA datasets to be integrated with transcript and
epigenetic profiling data. The aim of these approaches is to
understand the influence of RNA silencing as a regulator and
modulator of complex regulatory systems in normal growth and
development and in disease.
2. DIAGNOSTIC/CLINICAL APPLICATIONS. Development
and/or improvement of methods for delivery of sRNAs and
improved silencing technologies in model and other systems;
and developing the diagnostic potential of sRNAs or
variation in sRNA target sites in health and disease.
Presupuesto disponible: Hasta 1 millón de euros en
total.
Duración de la participación: de enero a diciembre de
2010 (pendiente aceptación por parte de la CE de una
extensión hasta diciembre 2011).
Fecha límite de presentación de solicitudes: 12 de
