The Belgian Presidency of the European Union is organising
“SRC’10, the 5th edition of the European Security Research
Conference”, to be held in Ostend (Belgium), on 22nd-24th
September 2010.
The SRC’10 conference is one of the actions undertaken in
the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) – European Security
Research Programme. It will focus specifically on the
creation of new opportunities in the field of security
research under the Lisbon Strategy and on facilitating the
dialogue between research and innovation actors, policy
makers and end-users. In this sense, the results of the FP7
– Research (mind-term progress report) and information about
the upcoming calls will be presented. Furthermore, it will
serve as a platform to exchange ideas, potential cooperation
and reconciliation of future activities on the European and
global level in the field of security research, technology
and innovation. The event is designed for the security
research, technology development and innovation stakeholders
in Europe.
