1st Fed4FIRE Competitive Call for additional Project Partners
Fed4FIRE, a project currently active in the Seventh Framework programme of the European Community for research, technological development and demonstration activities contributing to the creation of the European research area and to innovation (2007--‐2013) requires the participation of new partners to carry out certain tasks within the project. In particular the tasks pertain to the:
A. Execution of innovative experiments that demonstrate technological expertise, scientific novelty and quality in the area of Future Internet (e.g. domains such as wired and wireless IP networks, cloud computing, software defined networks and innovative Internet services)
B. Inclusion of additional experimentation facilities to enlarge the scope and reach of the Fed4FIRE federation as well as enhance the service offer.
Max. budget for tasks under A): 600,000 €
Max. budget for tasks under B): 300,000 €
Max. funding request for proposals under A) 80,000€; under B) 100,000€

Exciting opportunity for innovators to receive funding for research and development of new media technologies.
The EXPERIMEDIA Open Call 2013 was published 3rd May 2013 and will close on July 3rd. This year we have another 0.5M? to fund experiments. EXPERIMEDIA will be present at the Hands-on-FIRE event at the Future Internet Assembly (FIA) in Dublin 8-10th May. Come and see us there to find out more about the project and discuss your proposal.

What we are looking for
We are seeking new partners researching and developing technology in the area of the Future Media Internet (FMI) to join the project. Whether you're a service provider, application developer, broadcaster, content provider, a network provider or researcher we are looking for novel FMI experiments that help to understand and deliver new forms of social interaction and experience in online and real world communities. All experiments must deliver significant impact to users and businesses within EXPERIMEDIA venues' ecosystems at Schladming Ski Resort, Multi-Sport High Performance Centre of Catalonia (CAR) and Foundation for the Hellenic World (FHW).

We are offering research funding to successful applicants by means of an open call. The dates for the 2nd open call are:
- Call opens: May 3rd
- Call closes: July 3rd 1700 (Brussels time). Submissions received after this time will not be accepted.
