Miguel Julve Olcina

Miguel Julve Olcina - CU

Miguel Julve Olcina was born in Moncada (Valencia) in 1953. He obtained his PhD degree (with Professors Juan Faus Payá and José M. Moratal Mascarell) at the University of Valencia in 1981. Following two years of postdoctoral fellow (with Prof. O. Kahn) at the Université of Paris Sud (France), he came back to the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Valencia where he is full Professor of Inorganic Chemistry since 1992. His research activity concerns the rational design of extended magnetic systems by using the complex as ligand strategy and he is co-author of more than 420 articles in peer review scientific journals. His work has been highlighted by several covers in prestigious scientific journals and he was distinguished with the 2002 Inorganic Chemistry Award of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and the 2008 Catalán-Sabatier Prize by the French Chemical Society.

Francisco Lloret Pastor

Francesc Lloret was born in Pego, Alicante, Spain (1954). He is Full Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Valencia. His research activity concerns the magnetic studies on multimetallic systems from both experimetal and theoretical viewpoints.

Isabel Castro Bleda

Isabel Castro Bleda

Isabel Castro Bleda was born in Valencia in 1963. She obtained his PhD degree (with Professor Miguel Julve Olcina) at the University of Valencia in 1991. Following two years of postdoctoral fellow (with Prof. Michel Verdaguer) at the Université de Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris), she came back to the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Valencia where she is Professor of Inorganic Chemistry since 1993. His research interest focuses on the rational design of new molecule-based multifunctional magnetic materials through the use of the complex as ligand strategy and their magneto-structural characterization. He is responsible for several projects X-ray absorption (XAS) in large facilities like ESRF in Grenoble or Alba in Barcelona.

Rafael Ruiz García

Rafael Ruiz-García was born in Albal, Valencia, Spain (1967). He received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valencia (1995). He is senior researcher at the FGUV. His research interest focuses on the electronic properties and chemical reactivity of metallosupramolecular compounds and their applications in electro- and photoactive magnetic molecular devices.

Joan Cano Boquera

Joan Cano was born in Alzira, Valencia, Spain (1967). He received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valencia (1997). He is senior researcher at the FGUV. His research activity concerns the use of computational chemistry and statistical physics methodologies to modelize the magnetic properties of multimetallic systems.

Juan Faus Payá

Juan Faus Payá

Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Valencia and member of the Institute of Molecular Science (ICMol) has been distinguished with the Gascó Oliag Medal by the Colegio Oficial de Químicos de la Comunidad Valenciana. This prize is awarded to Professor Faus on the basis of his very brilliant work both as teacher and researcher in the quoted University during more than 40 years and also by his close collaboration with the Colegio y Asociación de Químicos de la Comunidad Valenciana.

Consuelo Yuste Vivas

Consuelo Yuste was born in Valencia, Spain (1973). She received her PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valencia (2009). She was postdoctoral researcher at the University of La Laguna (Tenerife). Her research interest focuses on the design, and developing of new molecular magnets. Now she is Coimbra postdoctoral researcher at the CEMDRX, Centro de Estudos de Materiais por Difracção de Raios-X.

Emilio Pardo Marín

Emilio Pardo Marín

Emilio Pardo was born in Valencia, Spain (1977). He received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valencia (2006). He was postdoctoral researcher at the University Pierre et Marie Curie. His research interest focuses on the design and synthesis of new molecule-based multifunctional magnetic materials. Now he is Juan de la Cierva fellowship at the University of Valencia.

Salah-Eddine Stiriba

Salah-Eddine Stiriba

Salah-Eddine Stiriba was born in Marrakech, Morocco (1971). He received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valencia (1998). Since 2007, he holds an Assistant Professorship position. His research activities combine synthesis and modification of functional dendrimers and hyperbranched polymers. The emphasis is upon the incorporation of optical, magnetic and catalytic functions and drug functionalities into selective regions of dendritic frameworks. Special attention is also devoted to the development of new strategies to generate and stabilize metal nanoparticles with catalytic, optical and magnetic properties. Metallosupramolecular complexes oriented to building optical, electronic and magnetic hybrid devices are also within his scientific research activities.
