Local Geographical Information System (GIS) for effective water management strategy at the basin scale.
The development of an geographical Information System (GIS) is necessary to understand how climatic or human changes influence in economic and social terms. The GIS will serve as a basis subsequently to the stake in tools of management of the territory in the last phase. Otherwise, optical measured data on the land will serve to the inter-standardization of pictures and analyses notably of convolution; they will be integrated in the library of spectral signing of Mediterranean surfaces. Scripts of fashions of earth management will be described by modifications of surface conditions and of resources use, in particular hydrical ones. For example, the regional model will permit to value the feasibility of a perimeter extension irrigated and impacts on the hydrical resources and the agricultural production.
The GIS developed for the Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz region included rainfall, piezometric and soil occupation data and also a characterization of irrigated sectors in the Tensift region.
