Ester Grau-Alberola, PhD (accreditation ANECA, [National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation] is an autonomous organism, attached to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Spain), Diploma in Speech Therapy (2002), General Health Psychologist (2016) and Specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology (2001). Positive accreditation program Docentia (2021, UNIR Education Academic Assessment Subcommittee).
Since 1999, she has been a member of the Psychosocial Research Group on Organizational Behavior (UNIPSICO) of the University of Valencia, Spain. She is currently a Contract Professor of Psychology at the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) where she develops her main research combining with other groups such as the University of Valencia and the Université Catholique de Lille (France).
She is an active researcher in the field of Occupational Health Psychology with several publications including scientific articles and chapters in journals of recognized prestige in psychology such as the International Journal of Nursing Studies, European Review of Applied Psychology, Journal of Applied Research in Intellectual Disabilities or Annals of Psychology. Ester Grau-Alberola, PhD has actively participated in research projects subsidized with public funds (Government of Spain).
In addition to the long career at the University, her professional experience has been developed over 12 years in socio-health care (older people, young and adults with intellectual disabilities) as a psychologist and Director of Center.
She is currently a deputy director and member of the Editorial Committee of the “Informaciò Psicològica” journal of the College Official of Psychology of the Valencian Community . She is reviewer in different journals (Frontiers, Revista de Psicodidáctica, Genres-Multidisciplinary, Journal of Gender Studies among others).
She has participated in various national and international conferences and also she is reviewer of Scientific and Technological Research Projects (PICT) of the National Agency of Scientific and Technological Promotion (ANPCyT, Argentina, 2019).
Her research focuses mainly on work stress and its consequences on workers' health and organizational productivity. The focus of this research has been on psychosocial risks at work, work burnout, mobbing and depression. Recently, her interest has also focused on healthy leadership and its relationship to the engagement, taking gender differences into account. In addition, her interest has been to develop research to assess the quality of working conditions in various occupations: health and teaching mainly. |
