QUALITATIVE TECHNIQUES ROOM
This is the area of the laboratory assigned to the application of qualitative tools, endowed with technical means and the needed equipment for conversational techniques, its register and treatment as well as the software to analyse information. This unit is composed by three different work spaces:
A) CONVERSATIONAL TECHNIQUES ROOM, or space for debate groups and collective or group interviews, equipped with:
One (1) table for meetings.
Ten (10) seats.
Two (2) zenithal film cameras.
Two (2) zenithal microphones to record sound.
One (1) confident mirror.
B) Observation room*, space to watch debate groups and group interviews, equipped with:
Three (3) double tables.
Six (6) chairs.
One (1) confident mirror.
Technical equipment for the register and treatment of sound and image.
(*) for teaching activities, from any classroom of the Faculty of Social Sciences (West lecture room, Nord lecture room or classrooms of the building of the Faculty) it is possible to watch in live or deferred research activities developed in the conversational techniques room.
C) Transcription and analysis room: work space with technical equipment and professional software for the transcription of sound recordings text analysis, equipped with:
Eight (8) computers with professional software ATLAS-TI and MAXQDA.
Four (4) express transcription pedals with software of voice recognition.
