Call 2013/2014: General information
The call for the Sicue programme for the academic year 2013/2014 will be opened on 4th of February. The deadline to submit applications will be 22th of February.
The applications have to be submitted over the internet from Portal de l’Alumne. (Option " Sol·licitud i Consulta de Programes d'Intercanvi).
List of possible destinations (it’s necessary to choose the code of the degree).

Attention: Students do not have to submit any kind of documentation in hard paper except those students who have gained access to the 2nd cycle of studies from another degree or who have gained access from another university. In these cases they have to upload a copy of their academic records from Portal de l’Alumne.
During the academic year 2013/2014 many universities will be in the process of changing to the new degrees. It is therefore important that students make sure they can take the courses corresponding to their academic itinerary. Further information in the website of the selected universities or contacting with them.
Requirements for the mobility
- Diplomaturas, Ingenierías Técnicas and Arquitectura Técnica: having completed at least 30 credits and being registered for another 30 credits.
- Licenciatura, Ingenieria and Arquitectura: having completed at least 90 credits and being registered for another 30 credits.
- Grados: having completed at least 30 credits and being registered for another 30 credits.
The requirement of completed credits has to be achieved until the 30th September 2012.
For the first year of those degrees which only have a second cycle (or of a second cycle which is not the direct continuation of the first) it is not possible to apply for the SICUE exchange. To apply for it the student has to be registered in the first year of the second cycle, to do the exchange for the following year if he/she meets all the other requirements that this call establishes. For the amount of completed credits his/her first cycle studies will be taken into account. It is not possible to participate in the SICUE programme more than once neither in the same university nor in the same academic year.
The students cannot take courses at the host university that they did not pass at the home university before.
Assessment of the applications
The selection of students is made taking into account:
- The compliance with all the requirements.
- Average marks
Motivation letter has been removed from the 13/14 call.
For the calculation of the average marks, following the criteria established in the official call for the SICUE programme, all marks obtained until 30th of September will be taken into account, including those of failed exams. Only the marks obtained in the last exam period will be considered, those courses in which the assessment is NOT PRESENTED do not count for the average mark. Students have to bear in mind that the average mark of their academic record at the University of Valencia does not take failed courses into account. So in the case of having failed an exam, the average mark calculated by the SICUE programme will be different from the academic record at the University of Valencia.
In case of degrees from a second cycle the average mark is calculated from the marks obtained in the studies of the first cycle from which the access to the new degree is gained. For the validated subjects it will be taken into account the marks that had been obtained in the proceeding University. Credits not marked will not be taken into account for the average.
Call for A/Y 2012-2013
The former ·"licenciaturas", "diplomaturas" and "ingenierías" are being replaced by the ECTS academic system , for these reason we inform all the students that they should contact and consult the academic offer at the host university. The Sicue exchange for the course 2012/13 is conditional on the existence of a suitable offer and the student is responsible for verifying this point.
Call 2012/2013: Lists
According to SICUE rules, in case of refusal of the application, there are set 10 calendar days for claims only if one of the following circumstances occures:
- An error of misinterpretation of the documents or the assessment of academic records.
- Appearance or delivery of new essential documents for the resolution.
- If questionable documents have influenced on the resolution.
The deadline for claims is set on 24 March. As soon as all the claims will be assessed, the definitely awardings and the waiting list will be published

Note: a motivation letter (maximum 2 pages, electronic format) has to be attached to the application for the Sicue programme from Portal de l’Alumne.
