Universitat de València’s cultural centre, La Nau, hosted the first symposium of orchestra conductors. This meeting is organized by Asociación Española de Directores de Orquesta (Spanish association of orchestra conductors, AESDO), and gathered several conductors and experts on the subject on June 2nd and 3rd. All the meetings were held at La Nau except on Sunday, when they symposium moved to Palau de la Música de Valencia.
This symposium’s goal is to promote the cooperation within the orchestra conductors, which is a shared goal with AESDO. This association organizes activities in order to avoid the percepcion people have of conductors as individualistic.
