This event is divided in three round-table meetings which are made up of journalists, activists and academicians, beyond a book launch. In the morning, the round-table meeting that opens this event, “Internet and politic journalism” (Internet y periodismo político), will have the participation of some journalists such as Ximo Aguar (Valencia Plaza), Marta Hortelano (Las Provincias), Rodrigo Terrasa (El Mundo CV) and Francesc Arabí (Levante-EMV).  Next, the book launch of Peláez. Historias de un periodista de provincias (Ed. 360 Grados Libros) will be realised by David Barreiro, its writer, and Óscar Delgado (editor).

In the evening, the conference will go on with a round-table meeting that will analyse how different social groups’ mobilization can develop in politic projects. This round-table meeting will have the speeches of Francesc Miralles (La Paella Rusa), Álex Rodríguez (Podem País Valencià), Arturo Puente (Catalunya Plural) and Guillem Martínez (El País Catalunya). Then, a third round-table meeting, focused on the importance of ICT in political campaigns, will close the conference.

Lecturers Juan Luis Manfredi (University of Castilla-La Mancha), Eva Campos (Universidad de Valladolid), José Luis González (Miguel Hernández University) and José Manuel Sánchez Duarte (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos) will participate in it.

The conference is chaired by Guillermo López García, tenured university lecturer of Journalism in the Universitat de València and is organized by the Valencian Digital Media Analysis Group (Grupo de Análisis de los Medios Digitales Valencianos) and the R+D Mediaflows group.
