The conference of the philosopher Amelia Valcàrcel, entitled ‘ Igualtat, educació i mon compartit’ will be the main event of the XVII Conference of Information for counsellors, which will take place this Thursday, 31 January, at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. The Conference of Information, which also has the participation of Jesús M. Jornet, Full University Professor of the Department of Research Methods and Educational Diagnosis of the University of Valencia, and Isabel Vázquez, Vice-Principal for Studies and Language Policy. This is one of the first actions of the programme ‘Coneixer la Universitat’, organized by the Delegate for Students through the SeDi Information and Promotion service.
This year, the date of the Conference coincides with the presence of the University of Valencia in the Unitour Hall, which will be held again at Valencia, and where technicians of the SeDi Information and Promotion service will advise students of secondary schools.
Following, the days 19, 20, 21 February, the centres and facilities of the University of Valencia will host pre-university students who are interested in visiting the University and learn about the studies offered.
Both the Conference and the visits are activities where many people of the educational Valencian community meet. And 361 educational psychologists who develop their work in the departments of orientation have confirmed their participation. To the visits have already registered 11,351 students.
For the various activities of the programme ‘Coneixer’, the SeDI produces and distributes the ‘Guia de Graus’ , with the curriculum of the University of Valencia, and the ‘Guia d’Accés a la Universitat de Valéncia’, which includes admission marks , weightings and useful information. This year, in addition, has been created a guide to learn more about the undergraduate degrees, entitled ‘Llegir per triar’, where the teaching staff of the University recommend books, according to undergraduate studies in which one is inte
