
The five Valencian public universities have called for innovation awards in Habitat and Territory targeting sophomores of Higher Level Training Cycles (GFGS). The call will award, this way, prizes to innovative work in the fields related to the areas of action of the Campus of International Excellence CAMPUSHABITAT5U.
The project CAMPUSHABITAT5U, composed of five public universities in Valencia (Valencia University, Polytechnic University of Valencia, Alicante University, Universitat Jaume I and the University Miguel Hernández de Elche), was designed to promote the collaboration of the different agents in our surroundings improving habitat and territory. With this project, the University of Valencia, along with the other public universities in Valencia, won the Seal of Excellence Award by the Ministry of Education in 2011.
One of the strategic objectives of the project is to enhance CAMPUSHABITAT5U greater integration between the university and the professional training, promoting their cooperation and improving employability.
In this context, announces the first edition of this award which acknowledges original work conducting students of Higher Level Vocational Training in the area of habitat or territory relating to buildings, home, planning and management or social space, and involving an innovative idea related to any of the areas of action of CAMPUSHABITAT5U. The work shall be carried out in teams of 3 to 5 students, with the permission of their school. The Jury will evaluate the innovative approach of the idea, project or improvement to develop the work and its applicability.
5 first prizes will be awarded to the best projects, with a total of 2,000 euros for the students members of the team and 500 euros for their school, and 15 awards finalists, with a budget of $ 1,000 each, to students members of the team and 250 EUR for their school.
The first prizes will include free tuition fees for the registration of the first university course in the case of enrolling in one of the participating universities.
To these awards may choose teams of students in the academic year 2012-2013 that were enrolled in the second year of vocational studies at a higher level of Valencia. Teams that attend this call can present the instance and documentation up to the 15th May, check-in at the University which he is attached to the center for the purpose of conducting selectivity tests.
