The Faculty of Language Studies, Translation and Communication hosts on Wednesday 13 September ‘Trobada de Filòlegs Escriptors i Filòlogues Escriptores: La influència de la filologia en el fet escriptural (Meeting of philologist writers: The influence of philology on writing). It is organised by the Assemblea d’Antics Estudiants de Filologia Catalana and the magazine ‘Gargots’. The conferences will take place in the afternoon at the Assembly Hall Enric Valor.
The programme divides the event into four sessions. The first act starts at 16:15 and it is a debate of narrators and dramatists that will be moderated by Antoni Espí. Joan Torró, Carles Cano, Anna Marí, Vicent Borràs and Juli Capilla will take part in this act. At 17:15 there will be a poetry round table with Manel Rodríguez Castelló, Begonya Mezquita, Josep Mir, Pau Sif and Francesc Collado. The Debate on essay, review and edition will start after the pause. It will be moderated by Enric Iborra and it will count on the participation of Xavier Aliaga, Gonçal López Pampló, Lluís Roda, Francesc Calafat and Vicent Alonso. Finally, at 19:30 it will be the turn of the literary testimonies with Ivan Carbonell, Urbà Lozano, Isabel Garcia Canet and Joan Garí.

Moreover, during the week it will be possible to visit the exhibition ‘Lingüistes al carrer’ (Linguists at the street) of Àngela Buch and Jesús Bernat.
