The principal of the UV, Esteban Morcillo, and the Valencian Counselor for Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labour, Rafa Climent, have signed an agreement in order to initiate the University Chair of Innovation «Valencian Employment and Training Service (SERVEF)-Universitat de València» and another for the study, development and promotion of the social economy. The aim of the «Innova Servef-UV» Chair is to upgrade the detection process of training necessities to the real adaptation of the Valencian labor market.
For its part, the agreement for the study, development and promotion of the social economy, responds to the interest of the Counsil to the boost of this economy and the companies based on its formulas.
The Chair of Innovation Servef - Universitat de València emerges as the result of the strategic alliance between the Valencian Government and the Universitat de València, with the aim of promoting the creation of new knowledge and innovative practices in the field of training focused on employment.
The aim of the «Innova Servef-UV» Chair is to upgrade the detection process of training necessities for the real adaptation to the Valencian labor market, both on the perspective of the employment applicant and on the perspective of those who offer it.
This initiative will allow the Servef to put into practice programms of research and transfers, innovation, training and cultural in order to offer to citizens the possibility to improve their education and professional development.
The actions of the Chair will develop at the programme headquarter «California Spain - Campus Initiative» and it will include the activities related to search and tranfer, innovation, training, culture and information.
Agreement for the promotion of social economy
The agreement for the preparation of activities related to the study, development and promotion of social economy in the academic and scientific field will allocate up to 15.000 euros of grant assistance from the Valencian Government to the University research Institute of Social Economy, Cooperativism and Entrepeneurship (IUDESCOOP) of the UV.
The Department of Sustainable Economy considers particularly interesting the encouragement, promotion and boost of the development of social economy and the companies based on its formulas. Furthermore, it highlights the support to actions of the institutions and social economy structures that enable to increase the levels of creation and development of these companies in the Valencian Community.
The aid foreseen in the agreement will be allocated to promotion and search activities in the field of social economy, to IUDESCOOP training activities, as well as the organization of sessions and participation in scientific events and inter-university meetings.
