The conference will be inaugurated by the principal of the UV, Esteban Morcillo, and it will be attended by professionals from around the State and representatives of the main Valencian political parties.
The decision of closing RTVV (The Public Valencian Radio and Television) and its consequences have been the motive to convene Forum, applicable to the current circumstances of the television model in general and of the Valencian model in particular. The main goals will be defining the role of the Autonomic TV as the principal backbone of an audiovisual industry which generates occupation and promotes local identities of the Valencian Community. Apart from analyzing the existing models in Europe in relation with the Regional TV and which respond to the audiences’ needs to the 21st Century. It is also important to reflect on the role of the Public TV in the current society and in the digital multicast of the audiovisual contents. Also knowing, through the representatives of the political parties, their point of view about the future of the public TV of the Valencian Community.
That’s why, any reflection on a new autonomic TV has to focus on guaranteeing the audiovisual public service with all its social, cultural, linguistic and business consequences from the maintenance of the informative universalization, the ideological and religious independence, and the free access to audiovisual contents.
