The Science Park of the University of Valencia opens today the term to participate in the contest Media100cia, an attractive initiative based on the presentation of short videos or animation about science of a maximum length of 100 seconds. This activity is part of the 5th Expociencia edition that will be held next Saturday 25 May.
Science, in any of its forms, will be again the theme of this second edition of Media100cia, an open contest of narration and free structure, where any thematic format goes, such as the recording of scientific experiments, animation, scientific fiction, monologues... and any idea that grown-ups or children may want to develop.
Two categories
As an innovation, this year videos will fall into two different categories; those aimed at a universitary audience and those aimed at a non-universitary audience. The length of the videos, as was in the first edition, should not exceed 100 seconds (including titles, heading of presentation and its possible credit titles) and will be submitted in AVI, MP4 or WMF. The development can be carried out in video format, synthetic animation or any other type of shooting or software.
The deadline for the presentation of videos will be Sunday 19 May. The award ceremony will be held during the Expociencia Exposition, at the Science Park, which will be held next 25 May.
