Thousands of people have visited on Saturday the Science Park of the Universitat de València to celebrate Expociència 2016, a genuine encounter between scientifics and society and a celebration to have a great time with science, technology and innovation as resources.
The key meeting with science, technology and innovation has taken place on Saturday at the Science Park of the Universitat de València. As every year, at the VIII edition of Expociència, scientists and entrepreneurs have opened their laboratories and installations with the aim of getting closer to the public in general the knowledge and of transmitting the role that science plays in our society. Expociència 2016 has had more than 70 activities that have offered to the public a journey of scientific fun. Around 5,000 people have attended the event.
Expociència is the most successful scientific dissemination activity of the Universitat de València among the public of the Valencian Community. Organised by the Science Park, Expociència has the collaboration of the Universitat de València and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), as well as the support of the Valencian Government.
In addition to the activities that the research institutes, companies and the School of Engineering (ETSE) offer every year, the festivity had the participation of different centres and departments of the Burjassot Campus.
