The University of Valencia presents its educational and research offer in the Spain Campus of San Francisco

The University of Valencia has presented its formative and research offer in the Spain Campus of San Francisco. The event, organized by ICEX and the Liga de Futbol Profesional. It reunited innovative enterprises with a technological basis, universities and Spanish sports representatives in the city of San Francisco. The activity, entitled Spain Experience, attracted potential postgraduate students as well as developers and enterprises in the San Francisco Bay linked to entrepreneurship.

The University of Valencia was invited to participate as a result of the relationship developed in the frame of the relationship between the University of Berkeley, and the CSCC (California Spain Chamber of Commerce), a non-profit organization that promotes networking and knowledge diffusion among enterprises, academic institution and technologic communities and among individuals in California and Spain.

The University’s participation has counted with the support of the offices of vice-principals of International Relations and Cooperation and of Sustainability and Infrastructures, through Valencia Campus, which allowed the presentation of the University of Valencia in a frame adequate for the University of Berkeley where diverse academics are currently carrying out researches in the frame of the VLC Campus and Grants Cinc Segles. Moreover, the Scientific Park and the technological offer were also presented.

To the event assisted, among other authorities, the president of the Professional Football League, the president of the football team Atlético de Madrid, the Spanish Economic and Commerce Counselor in Los Angeles, ICEX’s general director and the Spanish general consul in San Francisco. It counted, among others, with the presence of the representatives from enterprises of the Spain Tech Center in Silicon Valley, Spanish Ceramics enterprises such as Porcelanosa, biotechnology, new materials, constructive applications, cinema and television, TICs and videogames, gastronomy and wines, as well as teaching-related organizations in Spain such as OleSay and Malaca. The grass hockey female selection was present and played fames with Stanford, which will play the pre-Olympic in Valencia next June, and players from the Atletico de Madrid with their coach, Cholo Simeone as a part of the LFP World Challenge programme.
