The Degree in Psychology trains professionals with the scientific knowledge required to understand, interpret, analyse and explain human behaviour by applying the fundamental skills and abilities needed to make assessments and work in individual and social areas, with the aim of promoting and improving health and quality of life. This includes knowledge of psychological processes, stages in evolutional development, the biological foundations of human behaviour and psychological functions, as well as its psychosocial principles. Furthermore, students are taught about the different research methods and techniques involved in data analysis, as well as the main psychological methods involved in psychological assessment, diagnosis and intervention that are used in diverse fields.
In order to facilitate the adaptation of new Psychology students, the faculty offers incorporation programmes such as the Tutorial Action Plan.
The Faculty of Psychology has come to agreements with a number of institutions in order to offer students 450 internship positions in real work environments.
