Vanya, Maman, Sonya, the doctor, Yelena and the professor: secondary lives... The intelligence and comprehension of Chekhov to his characters is admirable because he loves them without limits and observes them with forensic methodical science. He make us see life when he finds words and when he does not. He shows us the remains of that non-said and non-done; of that dreamed and desired that has not happened but remains chiselled in the face and sculpted in the body, that appears in gestures. The soul silent movement. With his characteristic pathetic humour, he invites us to pay attention to a constellation of men and men spectres, while they do and say. Human Comedy. It is sunny. It rains inside.
