Topic:

It will be held on 12,14,19,21,26 and 28 February and on 5, 7, 12 and 14 March, from 17:00 to 19:00. It can be validated as two free-elective credits.

This course, which aims to analyse in depth the subject of art, ritual and sacredness, is of great academic interest given its universal nature –it is present in all societies from prehistory to the present and is part of our construction as human beings– and because it is linked with many of the disciplines of thought. Although, in principle, we will focus on this subject taking an artistic, cultural and social approach, we will not forget about the scientific, philosophical or religious point of view. We believe that this university extension course will provide a complementary and multidisciplinary vision of a very important topic, which is also covered superficially in various subjects of different degrees –History of Art, Anthropology, Fine Arts– without reaching a global perspective..
