Agenda UV

The UV carries out an outstanding task in the promotion of gender-based equality not only in the institution itself but also in the social projection by means of training, research, knowledge transfer, cultural dissemination and sociocultural innovation. The exhibition, organised by the Office of the Vice Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, exhibits this contribution by the University through the work of two sound entities such as the Equality Unit and the University Institute of Women Studies. In the first thirteen panels the exhibition shows the task carried out by the Equality Unit in the management in the gender equality policies.

The diverse Equality Plans introduced in the institution are specified (2010-2012 Equality Plan and 2nd Equality Plan, 2013-2017) as well as the Equality Observatory, a key tool for visualising the gender equality between men and women in the university scope from studies and micro-reports.

It is focalised on mainstreaming and gender cross-disciplinarily in activities and the work of several centres and services of our University, responsible for the compliance with the principle of equality between men and women.

From the panel 14, it is expounded the research activity of the University Institute of Women Studies (IUED), through the carrying out of projects, the participation in international cooperation programmes and the development of specific study lines.

Its active participation in university teaching, in Degrees, Master’s and Postgraduate Studies as well as non-regulated training activities: Study and Research Vocational Studies, the organisation “Es el tiempo de las mujeres o el program Mujer y Desarrollo”.

The collection and publication of Feminist Reports, the awards and distinctions received and the belonging to the Coordination Centre of the Valencian Public Universities.
