Goalball Interuniversity Championship of the Valencian Community

The Universitat de València hosts the Goalball Interuniversity Championship of the Valencian Community which takes place on the university pavilion of the Blasco Ibáñez campus. A triangular tournament involving the universities of Alicante, Miguel Hernández and Valencia.

For those who do not know, Goalball is the only Paralympic sport created specifically for people who are blind and visually impaired, in which two teams of three players participate. It is mainly based on the auditory sense to detect the trajectory of the ball in play (carrying bells inside) and also requires a large spatial abilities to be placed at all times at the most appropriate place in order to intercept or throw the ball with the aim of introducing it into the goal of the opposing team by a hand throw.
