Synopsis Portrait of legendary musician Bob Dylan. Six performers embody different moments of the personal and professional life of the singer who revolutionised American popular music in the 60s and 70s. Since then, his influence on musicians, writers, poets and culture in general has been permanent. The film consists of several stories played by the most heterogeneous characters: Woody (Marcus Carl Franklin) is an eleven-year-old black boy who is always running away. Robbie (Heath Ledger), a womanising artist who lives on the road. Jude (Cate Blanchett), a young androgynous rock star. John (Christian Bale), a folk idol who becomes an evangelist. And Billy (Richard Gere) is a famous fugitive.
