The researcher Josefa Tolosa Chelós has received the Royal Academy of Veterinary Sciences of Spain Award 2014, from the CESFAC Foundation

 

The researcher Josefa Tolosa Chelós has received the Royal Academy of Veterinary Sciences of Spain Award 2014 for his work on "Compound Feed," sponsored by the ‘Fundación de la Confederación Española de Fabricantes de Alimentos Compuestos para Animales’ (Spanish Confederation of Compound Feeding Stuff Foundation-CESFAC). The work, entitled “Presencia de micotoxinas emergentes en piensos comercializados en España” (Presence of emerging mycotoxins in feed marketed in Spain”, was directed by Dr Jordi Mañes and Emilia Ferrer, and has been entirely developed in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Food Science, Toxicology and Legal Medicine of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Josefa Tolosa has a degree in Veterinary by CEU Cardenal Herrera University in 2008 and a Master’s degree in "Food Quality and Safety" by the Universitat de València in 2011. Currently, she works on her doctorate within the programme "Food Science" of the Universitat de València, where she is contracted as Researcher in Training (FIT) since 2012.

The award ceremony will be held in open and solemn session of the Royal Academy next January 26 in the auditorium of the School of Veterinarians of Madrid, prior exposure of work.
