Allune, who works as a museum tour guide in Senegal, prepares a trip to the U.S. to see what happened to a descendant of a relative who was kidnapped to serve as a slave. Once in New York, he meets Ida Robinson, who may well be the person he is looking for. However, he does not say anything to her and starts working in the business that she runs. Allune’s trip allows us to reflect on slavery, on the dilemmas of the rich world, on immigration, love and human rights.
