Open enrolment to the Sessions of Awarness in Social Economy and Cooperativism

Can social enterprises help Town Halls comply with their employment and social policies?

Researchers from the Universitat de València have wondered this question, and they all agree that cooperative societies and other enterprises contemplated in the Social Economy Act seem the most suitable organisms to offer local services, as well as to promote employment within the territory. They are an intermediate channel between the market and the direct provision of public services, but specially, with them, the money and the effort of the municipality revert to it, generating this way more occupation and wealth.

In the seminar, the benefits provided by these firms due to the enforcement of their policies by the local governments will be analysed. They also could boost the self-employment or favour the social and labour insertion.
