Second edition focused on the environment and territorial development, which joins the UV and IDECOS network.

The Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, in collaboration with the Federation of Regional Studies Institutes (FIECOV), organises the second edition of a Conference focused on the environment and territorial development, which links the University of Valencia to the regional and municipal studies network.

Both institutions understand that is essential to promote these initiatives of meeting and exchange of experiences in search, recovery and protection of the environment, with the purpose of stimulating territorial development in the Valencian scale. Especially in this times of economic crisis, where the collaboration between public institutions and civil society is a priority for achieving results, as we saw in the Conference of 2013.

The aim of this call is to deepen the Valencian territorial development, based inter alia on the environmental sustainability, that is, on the protection of the physical environment, biotic wealth or natural and landscape heritage. Therefore, it is intended to collect studies, experiences and case studies of teachers, local technicians, associations, students, local specialists, etc. in order to contribute and enrich the knowledge of other participants coming from other coastal and inland areas.

This conference, open to the general public, is the result of a close collaboration between the UV and FIECOV; between the university community and major centres which champion the cultural sensitivities of the Valencian territory.
