The Universitat de València, through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation and the Sports Department of the Valencian Council shows with the exhibition “Valencian Traditional Sport

and Territory” the main modalities of the native sports present in the Valencian territory from the contributions of around thirty researchers of the Universitat and other specialists in popular science.

In this pioneer exhibition on the importance of Valencian traditional sport, the most important modality is Valencian Pilota from the historical, cultural, architectural, sport, educational, etc. point of view. Likewise, there are other native sports as part of the Valencian cultural heritage, the traditional games in different Valencian spaces, in particular the inland part, as well as popular athletics from the circuit of popular races, the volta a peu or the athletics clubs.
