The city of children. Photographs of Passor, India. Toni Ródenas.

From July 13 to September 9, 2012.

The City of Children is a support project of Valencian photographer Toni Ródenas that portrays the harsh living conditions of children in the brickfields of Passor, with whom he lived for a while to spread the work of the NGO Naya Nagar in India. The exhibition consists of 20 black and white photographs of 50 x 70 cm linking the concept of documentary and artistic photography through the eyes of the artist, who seeks to boost the shocking nature of the brickfields, whose harshness contrasts with the children’s fragility and joy. The photographer has lived for a while with the people and groups of families who work from dawn to dusk in the development of basic mud bricks for the construction industry.

Hours: Monday to Saturday from 9 to 20 hours. Sundays from 10 to 14 hours.
